Introduction to TCM Herbal Medicine

Instructors: Drs. Mona Boudreaux, Steve Marsden, Deb Mitchell, Lynelle Graham.

Dates: February 28 - March 2, April 10 - 13, May 29-June 1, July 17-20.

Expand your diagnostic abilities and your treatment opportunities in daily practice!  We will painlessly introduce you to the basics of Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) by teaching, and later refining, diagnostic ability according to TCM principles.  You will gain a solid, basic understanding of TCVM herb categories, properties, actions, and functions.  You’ll be able to understand which herbs or combinations will be effective for a given disease pattern or differentiation, and why.  Now in our 11th year, we’re still the BEST source for basic and advanced information for the veterinarian engaged in the realities of day to day practice.  Unlike other courses, we teach you to evaluate your patients from a TCM perspective - we do not "translate" western disease states into TCM terms.  Over 97% of our graduates are currently using Chinese herbs, and seeing the positive results of our unique approach!

Our course includes four modules; each builds upon the last, and attendance is required at all four for successful completion.  In addition to interactive coursework, extensive use of animal patients on-site and at Dr. Mitchell's  small animal practice will allow you to refine your TCM skills, as well as develop and critique prospective treatment plans for all cases evaluated.
